Dr. Lulu Bursztyn is a neuro-ophthalmologist and comprehensive ophthalmologist at the Ivey Eye institute. She currently holds the rank of Assistant Professor at Western University. In addition to clinical work, Dr. Bursztyn performs cataract surgery, botox injections and other minor procedures. New patients are welcome, but must be referred by a physician.

Dr. Bursztyn completed an undergrad in chemical engineering at McMaster University followed by a Master’s degree in Neuroscience at Queen’s University. She completed medical school at Queen’s University, ophthalmology residency at Western University and a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Bursztyn’s main areas of academic interest include optic neuropathies, brain tumours and eye movement disorders.

Sonya is the welcoming first point of contact for our office. She manages the days to help optimize patient care. With her humour and empathy, she ensures patients have a good experience seeing us. Sonya has been working with eyes for over 20 years. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, husband, and puppies. She loves being outside on the water kayaking and also helps as the trainer of her daughter’s ringette team. She is ready to welcome you to our clinic!

Jackie completed the Ophthalmic assistant course through Centennial College. She has worked in the eye care field for over 20 years. She enjoys getting to know patients and spending time with her family.
